What We do at Empower Chiropractic
Personalized care designed to fit your individual needs and improve the status of your health
The Chiropractic Adjustment is the primary method of treatment at Empower Chiropractic. Chiropractic is concerned with how the joints in your body are moving. Primarily in the spine, but also shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet. All joints have a proper motion that contributes to how we move and feel. When a joint sustains damage or becomes inflamed we can lose that optimal motion and feel pain or even sick putting our body in a state of tension or dis-ease. After a comprehensive assessment determining where in your body the joints may lack movement to function properly, Dr. Brunner is able to provide a gentle, specific adjustment to restore proper motion of the joints returning the body to a state of ease and health.
Decompression is used to treat people with disc issues. By applying traction or a pulling force gently and in control to the spine, it can help treat disc bulges, Sciatica, Cervical disc bulges, or radiating arm or leg pain, tingling, or numbness. Dr. Brunner determines if this therapy can help patients after thoroughly examining each individual.
Soft Tissue Therapies
Muscles and ligaments can play a role in joint mobility as well as a source of pain. We have multiple therapies that Dr. Brunner can use to treat a wide array of conditions. These are typically coupled with Chiropractic care to provide better outcomes for patients.
Applied Kinesiology is a technique that utilizes manual muscle testing to identify specific dysfunctions in the body. By applying manual pressure against resistance, Dr. Brunner can assess the nervous system's ability to respond appropriately to stimuli. This technique becomes useful for people with injuries such as Sciatica, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, sprains/strains, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, carpal tunnel, hip or shoulder impingements, rotator cuff pain, numbness or tingling. Applied Kinesiology helps Dr. Brunner develop a bigger picture about what's going on with the body in order to deliver more precise and necessary care.
